We are currently seeking a confident, enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming all-through school in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step, or a graduate who enjoys working with young people and is looking to develop their classroom management, behaviour support and wider educational experience.

The Role - Key Responsibilities

Supervise classes across the school during short-term teacher absences.

Deliver pre-set work and ensure students remain focused, engaged and on task.

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations.

Build positive and professional relationships with students.

Provide appropriate support and encouragement to pupils throughout lessons.

Support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.

Respond confidently and appropriately to behaviour challenges.

Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and wider support staff.

Participate in break and lunchtime supervision duties.

Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive school environment.
The Ideal Candidate will have:

Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting in the UK

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The confidence to manage a classroom and establish clear boundaries.

A calm, consistent and positive approach to behaviour management.

The ability to follow instructions and deliver pre-set work effectively.

An understanding of the needs of pupils with SEND.
-
Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties is highly desirable.

The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

A genuine commitment to inclusion, pupil wellbeing and educational progress.
