Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our bar team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and engaging positively with patrons. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills within a vibrant setting.
In addition to our bar operations, we also have a function room that regularly hosts private events and celebrations, as well as a number of letting rooms for overnight guests. As part of a small and supportive team, candidates may be required to assist with housekeeping duties and help manage guest check-ins ensuring visitors receive a warm welcome and a comfortable stay.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and company policies.
- Take orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt service to maximise customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system effectively.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming environment.
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol consumption policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with excellent organisational skills.
