About Us:
We are a busy and well-established joinery workshop specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and architectural joinery. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join our team.
The Role:
As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and plans for bespoke joinery projects. You will work closely with designers, production managers, and workshop staff to ensure designs are accurate, practical, and ready for manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
· Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for bespoke joinery items
· Interpret design briefs and architectural drawings
· Prepare cutting lists, material specifications, and production drawings
· Liaise with workshop team to ensure drawings are feasible and efficient
· Amend drawings based on feedback and site measurements
· Maintain drawing records and version control
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a CAD Technician, ideally within joinery or woodworking
· Proficiency in AutoCAD software
· Strong understanding of joinery techniques and materials
· Ability to read and interpret technical and architectural drawings
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
· Experience with SolidWorks, SWood, software
· Experience with CNC programming or CAM software
· Knowledge of bespoke furniture or interior fit-outs
· Site measurement experience
