Blind male with a passion for music looking for a reliable personal assistant/support worker with immediate start. Shifts available are every Saturday evening, 6.30pm to 10.30pm, flexibility is essential as times often run over.
You must be computer literate as the role requires a lot of typing up notes due to memory issues, you must hold a manual driving licence to be able to drive my car and also have your own car to get to me as public transport is unreliable in the evenings.
You will need to be comfortable in working in a smoking environment. I do smoke, but do not smoke in the main area where my PA’s work, I also have high quality smoking fans to filter the smoke during the winter months, the warmer months the windows and doors are open so there is ventilation.
Duties include: general administration, typing up notes, cooking, taking me to social events etc; A full job description is available with an application form. No personal care involved. Experience is not required. Just flexibility, patience and understanding £17.50 per hour on a self employed basis paid 4 weekly. Time and a half on public holidays and bonuses.
