About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
How You’ll Be Involved
As a Tenancy Enforcement Officer, you'll play a vital role in protecting private renters across Camden and ensuring everyone has access to safe, secure housing. Working as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary team, you'll investigate reports of illegal eviction, harassment and housing-related discrimination, supporting some of the borough's most vulnerable residents to understand and exercise their rights whilst utilising the enforcement tool available to investigate offending. You'll work closely with tenants, landlords, letting agents and partner organisations, using your knowledge of housing legislation to resolve disputes, prevent homelessness and take enforcement action where necessary.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines casework, investigation and advocacy. You'll gather evidence, build cases against landlords and agents who fail to meet their legal responsibilities, and help drive improvements across the private rented sector. By taking a proactive approach to enforcement and tenant support, you'll make a tangible difference to residents' lives while contributing to Camden's commitment to tackling housing inequality and creating safer communities.
