We are looking for a dedicated childcare practitioner to work 3 or 4 days per week, Monday–Friday, 12.30pm-5.00pm. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £15-£18 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children’s play, learning, and development through age-appropriate activities.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play in all weather conditions.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Assist in delivering activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observe children and contribute to monitoring their progress.
- Ensure inclusivity by supporting the individual needs of all children.
- Communicate daily with parents/carers about their child’s well-being and progress.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and share any concerns with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks and meals, accommodating dietary needs and allergies.
- Keep play areas clean and safe by maintaining toys and equipment.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willingness to train).
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
- Understanding of child development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- Professional childcare experience.
- Safeguarding qualification.
- Basic ICT skills (e.g., using apps, cameras, tablets).
