At West Midlands Building Company, we are looking to recruit an experienced, talented and organised surveyor to our ranks. We operate in the Birmingham & West Midlands region, specialising in Conservatories, Orangeries, Extensions and Full House Renovation solutions. Prior experience working in the industry is essential.

Main Duties:
Post-sale: Visit the customer on a pre-arranged appointment to survey the windows, doors, porches, conservatory or roofline products, and take exact measurements and make detailed drawings with technical expertise that will advise our planning, installation & contracts teams. You will need to check the customer’s requirements against the sale contract and make revisions if necessary.
Post-survey: Provide a detailed works order to our planning & production teams with accurate drawings, and be on hand to advise our installation teams on any queries.
Post-Installation: You will re-visit the customer once the installations have been completed and provide a technical assessment for quality assurance purposes. Any amendments required will need to be relayed to the installations team.
Supporting Our Installation Manager - You may be required to provide support to our installation manager and installations team. This could involve assisting in the overseeing of the day to day activities and assistance with logistical/organisational scheduling.
Technical Support - You may need to answer queries from our sales, admin and marketing teams when potential customers ask questions which are outside the realms of their expertise. Your valuable input will greatly assist in the sales and admin processes.
Skills Required:
- Previous surveying experience of large home renovations
- Excellent communication, motivation and customer service skill
- Time management and administrative skills
- Basic level of IT skills require
- Attention to detail – we need accurate measurements
- You will be a flexible team player, willing to help other members of the team when necessary
- An excellent communicator – professional. friendly and approachable with clients and colleagues alike
- The ability to make sound decisions, even when under pressure.
- To be able to read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Comprehensive product knowledge and understanding of current building regulations and construction techniques.
- Ability work on own initiative, be able to analyse situations and make recommendations.
- A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
