What You'll Be Doing
As an experienced Joiner, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality residential construction projects from start to finish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Roof work. (essential)
- Building pitched and flat roofs (essential)
- Installing roof timbers, ceiling joists and floor joists
- Constructing stud walls and partition walls
- Completing all aspects of First and Second Fix Joinery
- Installing doors, door linings, skirting boards, architraves and stair components
- Carrying out structural alterations
- Property refurbishments, maintenance and remedial works
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Working alongside other skilled trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar Joinery role
- City & Guilds or NVQ Qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (Essential)
- Proven experience in site joinery
- Strong roofing knowledge with experience constructing pitched roofs (Essential)
- Excellent knowledge of domestic building and construction methods
- A good understanding of other building trades
- Ability to work from technical drawings
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
