Executive Head Housekeeper

Colessio is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Executive Head Housekeeper to lead and manage our housekeeping department. This is a key leadership position within the hotel, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across all areas of the property.
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on professional with extensive housekeeping management experience within the hospitality sector, who can confidently lead a team, manage departmental performance, and oversee all operational and people-related responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the housekeeping team to consistently deliver exceptional standards.
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department.
- Ensure all guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and facilities are maintained to the highest standard.
- Manage departmental budgets, stock control, ordering, and cost management.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Plan and manage staffing levels in line with business demands.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, COSHH, and company policies.
- Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to maximise guest satisfaction.
- Utilise and manage the hotel's housekeeping and property management systems effectively.
- Monitor productivity and departmental KPIs, taking corrective action where required.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Manage all people-related activities within the housekeeping department.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
- Conduct performance reviews, probationary reviews, and regular one-to-one meetings.
- Manage absence, disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes in line with company policies.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and succession planning within the department.
- Ensure all training records and personnel documentation are maintained accurately.
The Ideal Candidate
- Extensive experience as a Executive Housekeeper, or senior housekeeping leader within a hotel environment.
- Proven ability to successfully manage a large housekeeping operation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience handling HR processes and employee relations.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Experienced in using hotel property management and housekeeping systems.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, professional, and hands-on approach.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional standards.

Pay: £26,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
