The Griffiths Group Ltd is looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to operate one of our material handlers at our Dewsbury site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong reputation for professionalism, safety, and teamwork.
The Role
As a Material Handler Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, and sorting of materials across our site. You will play an important role in keeping operations running smoothly while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a material handler safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and sort materials.
- Carry out daily machine checks and basic maintenance.
- Work in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and site management.
- Report any defects, incidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience operating material handlers, excavators, or similar heavy plant (preferred but not essential for the right candidate).
- Holds relevant plant operator qualifications or is willing to undertake training.
- Has a strong understanding of health and safety.
- Is dependable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
- Takes pride in maintaining machinery and working to a high standard.

Working Hours
