About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Events Assistant to join our team at All Things Wild.
This is a hands-on, practical role working out in the park — not a desk-based events planning position. You will be responsible for helping to plan, organise and deliver our exciting seasonal events and experiences, while also supporting the day-to-day operation of the attraction.
No two days will be the same. You’ll be involved in organising and running events, supporting visitors, assisting our Front of House team, training staff and working across different departments to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and deliver seasonal events, themed activities and visitor experiences.
- Coordinate event preparation, including set-up, operation and pack-down.
- Ensure events run smoothly, safely and to a high standard.
- Train and support team members involved in delivering events.
- Assist visitors and provide excellent customer service throughout the park.
- Support Front of House operations, including admissions, guest enquiries and visitor assistance.
- Work closely with other departments and provide support wherever needed.
- Assist with day-to-day operational tasks to help the park run smoothly.
- Resolve guest queries and provide a welcoming, positive experience.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and safety across the attraction.
- Manage event equipment, stock and supplies.
- Contribute ideas to improve events and enhance the visitor experience.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, energetic and enjoys a varied, hands-on role. You’ll need to be confident taking responsibility for event delivery, while also being happy to get involved with all areas of the attraction.
You will be:
- Experienced in planning and organising events.
- Confident coordinating activities and supporting teams.
- Friendly, approachable and confident dealing with visitors.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Happy working outdoors and getting involved in practical tasks.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in event planning and organisation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong customer service skills.

- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a visitor attraction, zoo, theme park, leisure or hospitality environment.
- Experience delivering family events, activities or experiences.
- Experience training or supervising team members.
- Previous customer-facing experience.
