HGV Class 2 Driver
Chris Wright Baildon Ltd are looking for a full-time HGV Class 2 Driver to join our transport team based in Baildon, West Yorkshire.
We are a specialist heavy haulage, HIAB, plant transport and machinery movement business. This is a permanent role working from our Baildon depot, delivering plant, machinery, equipment and general loads to customer sites.
We are looking for someone reliable, professional and safety focused, with a good attitude and a willingness to work as part of a busy transport team.
Pay and Hours
- £15.20 per hour
- Guaranteed minimum 45 hours per week
- Overtime after 45 hours paid at £20.25 per hour
- Sunday rate £30.40 per hour
- Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday / weekend overtime when required

The Role
Duties will include:
- Driving HGV Class 2 rigid vehicles
- Collecting and delivering plant, machinery and equipment
- Loading and unloading where required
- Securing loads safely and correctly
- Delivering to customer and construction sites
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing delivery paperwork
- Representing the company professionally on site
Essential Requirements
- Full UK HGV Class 2 licence
- Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience
- Good understanding of load security
- Reliable, professional and safety focused approach
- Comfortable dealing with customers and site contacts
Preferred, But Not Essential
- Loader Securer card
- Plant transport experience
- Construction site experience
- CPCS / NPORS plant tickets
- HIAB / lorry loader experience
Training or refresher support may be available for the right person.
