Kitchen Porter / Chef Assistant - Day time only with very occasional evening work for events...
Our 70 cover Café, serves a contemporary breakfast menu, light lunches, snacks, daily specials, Afternoon Tea, coffees and home-made cakes with as much as possible sourced locally. The Estate also hosts, and caters for a program of events throughout the year.
We are seeking a friendly, efficient Kitchen Porter to contribute in all aspects of delivering excellent quality and service to our customers. You must have a high standard of cleanliness and be able to work in a high volume, busy environment.
There is the opportunity to be involved in some food preparation and is an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to learn and progress.
Responsibilities & Duties
Suitable candidates be able to demonstrate skills in the following areas:
- Reporting to the Cafe Manager / Head Chef, the Kitchen Porter will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in their area of the kitchen, including dishes and cutlery.
- To ensure all food preparation is carried out in accordance with food hygiene procedures at all times.
- Work with Front of House to ensure a smooth operation.
The Café is open 7 days per week.
The Café is located in a rural setting, so own transportation is essential. Please do not apply for this position if you are currently engaged in full time education.
