Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Football Assistant Coach to support our coaching team in developing talented young players and fostering a positive sporting environment. The successful candidate will assist in planning training sessions, mentoring players, and contributing to the overall success of the football programme. This role offers valuable experience in sports coaching and teaching within a dynamic team setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and delivering training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Support the head coach in developing training programmes that promote technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
- Provide guidance and mentorship to players during practices and matches, encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship
- Help monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to aid development
- Contribute to organising team events, fixtures, and community engagement activities
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to relevant health and safety guidelines during training and matches
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes respect, discipline, and enjoyment of the game
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably within football or similar team sports
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with players of varying ages and abilities
- Knowledge of football techniques, tactics, and rules
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while maintaining a professional attitude
- Organised with good time management skills to support multiple activities concurrently
- A recognised coaching qualification or willingness to undertake relevant training is desirable but not essential
- Passion for sport, teamwork, and player development is essential for success in this role
Pay: £12.68-£20.00 per hour
