Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee operations at our concrete batching plant at Springfield Road, Grantham NG31 6LT. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production and loading of readymixed concrete, maintaining high standards of quality, and supervising a team of delivery drivers. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in plant management, mechanical systems, to contribute to a dynamic construction materials environment.
Duties
- Supervise daily batching plant operations to ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, performing routine inspections and maintenance as needed.
- Coordinate with dispatch staff to manage the receipt, storage, and loading of materials for dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing safety procedures across the plant.
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to optimise productivity and maintain high standards of work.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools and power tools, performing minor repairs or coordinating repairs with maintenance teams.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plant supervision within the construction or manufacturing sector.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Experience in assembly processes related to plant machinery or equipment maintenance.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to industrial plants.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.

Pay: £36,000.00 per year
