Role Overview
We are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Event Marshals to support the delivery of the Cheshire Show 2026 at The Cheshire Showground, Clay House Farm.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large-scale public event, helping ensure visitors have a safe, enjoyable, and well-organised experience across the two-day show.
A variety of roles are available, including car parking operations, customer service support, stop and go marshalling, ticketing, and general event assistance.
Available Roles
Car Parking Marshals
- Direct vehicles safely into designated parking areas
- Maintain traffic flow and minimise congestion
- Assist visitors with directions and parking information
- Ensure pedestrian safety within parking areas
Customer Service Operatives
- Welcome and assist members of the public
- Provide information and directions around the event site
- Support visitors with general enquiries
- Maintain a professional and approachable presence at all times
Stop & Go Marshals
- Manage pedestrian and vehicle movement safely
- Operate stop/go systems where required
- Communicate clearly with team members and the public
- Ensure safety procedures are followed throughout the event
Ticketing & Entrance Staff
- Assist with ticket scanning and admissions
- Support entry point operations and crowd management
- Provide customer assistance at entrance areas
- Report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly
General Event Support
- Assist supervisors and event management teams where required
- Help maintain safe and organised public areas
- Support with general operational duties throughout the event site
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Previous event experience is desirable but not essential

Additional Information
- Camping facilities are available on-site for staff working the event
- Staff must be available to work both event days where possible
