Opportunity Summary
Lantern Facilities Ltd is looking to build a trusted network of self-employed cleaning contractors to support cleaning assignments across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
This is not an employed role. Contractors will operate independently, manage their own tax affairs, provide their own cleaning equipment where required, and may accept or decline assignments offered.
Work may include residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, office cleaning, short-let changeovers, deep cleans and end-of-tenancy cleaning.
Contractor Responsibilities
Successful contractors may be offered suitable assignments depending on client demand, location, availability and experience.
Contractors will be expected to:
- Provide cleaning services for accepted assignments
- Manage their own travel between assignments
- Use their own cleaning equipment, such as vacuum, mop and cleaning tools, where required
- Use Lantern Facilities’ approved cleaning products where supplied or specified for client, safety or service consistency reasons
- Maintain professional cleaning standards
- Notify Lantern Facilities Ltd of any access issues, damage, hazards or client concerns
- Invoice Lantern Facilities Ltd for completed work
- Manage their own tax, National Insurance, insurance, equipment and business expenses
Contractor Requirements
Contractors should be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant cleaning experience
- Reliability and good communication
- Ability to work independently
- Access to reliable transport
- Ability to cover Milton Keynes and surrounding areas
- Public liability insurance, or willingness to obtain it before accepting assignments
- Self-employed status or operation through a limited company
- Willingness to follow client-specific cleaning requirements and product instructions
A Basic or Enhance DBS certificate may be required before contractors are offered domestic, short-let or unsupervised assignments.
Self-Employment Status
This opportunity is offered on a self-employed contractor basis under a contract for services.
There are no guaranteed hours. Work is offered on a per-assignment basis, and contractors are free to accept or decline assignments.
Contractors are responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, insurance, equipment, travel and business costs.
