Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing teams, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from planning through to completion
- Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards
- Oversee and enforce Health & Safety compliance on all sites
- Liaise with clients, architects, structural engineers, and building control officers
- Prepare and monitor project programmes, budgets, and progress reports
- Manage variations, snagging, and final project handovers
- Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager (UK experience preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Health & Safety
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor management
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Degree or professional qualification
- Experience working with councils OR private building inspectors
- Knowledge of contracts, site documentation, and compliance procedures
