Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring personalised needs are met effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents or clients
- Support with light domestic tasks to uphold a homely atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as necessary (driving skills preferred)
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting mobility needs and outings
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
