Administrative/Onboarding Assistant
Rowberry Morris are looking for an Admin/Onboarding Assistant to join our Conveyancing Department based in our Reading office.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organised and confident in handling sensitive information. Experience in compliance, client onboarding or due diligence requirements is advantageous.
You will engage with clients from diverse financial backgrounds across different legal departments. Your responsibilities will include arranging identity and financial checks and
you will need to be able to identify and address any concerns. As you will be handling sensitive information, we are looking for an individual who can provide a calm and professional experience while managing sensitive information with discretion.
Skills/Experience
- Prior experience of performing due diligence checks.
- Confident in the use of MS Office, especially Outlook and Word. Case Management Systems training will be provided.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Confidence to be assertive yet courteous when necessary.
Duties include:
- Opening files, conflict checks, and closing files
- Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining diaries
- Assisting accounts staff in generating bills in a timely manner and monitoring payment
- Preparation and dispatch of post, emails and faxes with relevant enclosures
- Assisting fee earners with post-exchange, pre-completion, completion and post-completion matters on residential property files
- Sending out exchanged Contracts on residential property matters.
- Ordering OS1 and OS2 searches and reporting any issues to the fee earners.
- Carrying out bankruptcy searches and flagging any issues to the fee earners.
- Preparing completion statements on a range of residential matters.
- Issuing and serving notice on Managing Agents, Landlords and Management Company’s.
- Putting various indemnity policies on risk and sending to clients following completion.
- Dealing with client balances and returning funds to client.
- Preparing account forms to send payments such as purchase funds, agents’ invoices, stamp duty and land tax.
- Dealing with registrations of residential property files at the Land Registry.
- Dealing with any incoming requisitions from the Land Registry.

Pay: £25,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
