What you'll be doing
Using meticulous care, you will ensure that ALL incoming & existing Stock meets the high standard expected by Freshview. Highlighting to the Buying Team, where any incoming Stock does not meet the required standard. You will also be responsible for removing sub-standard existing Stock & systemically Processing Waste correctly.
Ensuring goods are accurately checked, labelled and ready to put away according to the specific company procedures.
You will be working accurately & efficiently together with our Days Warehouse team to ensure ALL produce is ready for our nights warehouse team to help deliver the best possible service to our customers.
This is a full-time contract, 40 hours, 5 shifts per week, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Based at: Freshview Foods Ltd, Unit 2 Lowfield Drive, Wolstanton, ST5 0UU.
Start and finish times are between the hours of 5am-4.30pm - flexibility is required
Responsibilities
- To ensure ALL incoming and existing stock is quality checked daily and substandard/not to spec produce removed and relevant paperwork / Rejection Notices are completed, and the buying team are informed.
- To ensure that all stock is kept secure and under the correct temperature conditions, applicable to each product.
- To ensure that no food is stored past its use by date, with out-of-date produce being destroyed. Wastages must be recorded.
- To ensure daily QC checks and daily stock rotation checks are performed and recorded.
- To ensure that good housekeeping, health and safety practices are always adhered to throughout the warehouse including all storage apparatus and external delivery areas
- To ensure that all company policies are always adhered to.
- To always act in a professional and courteous manner towards all staff, visitors and customers.
- Ensure the standard operating procedure for Goods In and QC is strictly adhered to at all times
- Assist in specific projects or activities as required by your line manager.
- To communicate effectively with all other departments.
- To ensure that all temperature records are kept up to date and comply with food safety legislation,
- To ensure any equipment issues or damage are reported to a senior manager
Skills & Experience
- You will need to work to tight deadlines and have an eye for detail.
- FLT License is advantageous (not necessity)
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word/Outlook.
- Experience working with fresh produce is essential.
- Experience working in warehouse distribution or similar.
- Excellent time management, punctuality and reliability.

Pay: £29,744.00 per year
