Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Electrician for our client in the Bacup area. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of vehicles and machinery. Duties
- Diagnose electrical faults in vehicles and machinery using specialised tools and equipment
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, lighting, sensors, and electronic control units
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future issues
- Install new electrical components as required by vehicle specifications or client requests
- Test repaired systems to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work procedures
- Assist with troubleshooting complex electrical problems that may involve mechanical components
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or similar role within the automotive or machinery industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in electrical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
- Experience using power tools safely and effectively for various repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large or heavy components safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive or electrical engineering are desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality workmanship
Working hours -
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
Experience:
- Commercial vehicles: 1 year (preferred)
