Coactive Care is an expanding provider of high-quality residential care services, including Georgian House and Meadfoot View in Torquay and Two Trees in Plymouth. Following the recent opening of our flagship home, Spurfield House in Exeter, we are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and inspirational Registered Manager to lead this exciting new service as it continues to grow and welcome new residents.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the culture, standards, and future of a brand-new care home from an early stage of its journey. As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, developing strong relationships with residents and their families, and creating a warm, welcoming environment where person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. You will play a pivotal role in growing occupancy, embedding excellent care and operational practices, and ensuring the home consistently delivers outstanding standards of care and regulatory compliance.

About the role:

Provide operational leadership and management of the home, leading by example and promoting a positive, person-centred culture.

Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring colleagues are supported, motivated, and equipped to deliver outstanding care.

Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, maintaining high standards of care, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Play a key role in establishing and developing the home as resident numbers grow, creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant community for residents and their families.

Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the service, ensuring excellent outcomes for residents and a positive working environment for colleagues.

Develop strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the home and Coactive Care.

Participate in the management on-call rota.

Work occasional weekends as required by the needs of the service.
About you:

An experienced care manager with a passion for delivering exceptional person-centred residential care.

Previous experience in a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager role within adult social care, with a sound understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Confident in leading and developing a large and diverse staff team, building trust and positive working relationships.

Resilient, well organised, and able to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

Flexible and adaptable, with the enthusiasm and drive to develop a newly opened service and support its continued growth.

Committed to treating people with kindness, dignity, and respect, ensuring residents are supported to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or is willing to work towards this qualification.
