Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic FOH (Front of House) Team Member to join our vibrant FOH team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant or food service experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with food preparation and organisation in the front of house area
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, counters, and service stations
- Uphold food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
- Support with general cleaning duties to ensure the establishment remains tidy and inviting
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic hygiene practices
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Good communication skills, friendly demeanour, and a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and billing procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills such as food preparation techniques or upselling strategies
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
