Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Nurse with Level 3 relevant qualification to join our joyful childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 9month to 5 years in a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational setting for young children. The position is paid and requires a recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare or early childhood education.
Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support children’s individual needs through personalised care plans and tailored activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Manage behaviour using positive guidance techniques to create a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns.
- Lead by example in promoting good practice in childcare standards and policies.
- Contribute to the organisation’s continuous improvement initiatives by participating in team meetings and training sessions.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead activities and supervise junior staff or volunteers.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, suitable for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks.
- Experience in managing behaviour positively within a childcare environment.
