Job Summary:
Ara IT Solutions UK Ltd. is seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to lead software engineering teams, oversee the delivery of enterprise software solutions, and drive technology innovation. The role is responsible for managing the full software development lifecycle, fostering engineering excellence, ensuring product quality, and aligning technical initiatives with the company's strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage software development teams responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise applications
- Develop software engineering strategies, roadmaps, and technical standards to support business growth and innovation
- Oversee the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards
- Collaborate with product management, architecture, quality assurance, DevOps, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable software solutions
- Drive Agile development practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps initiatives across engineering teams
- Monitor software performance, code quality, security, and system reliability while promoting continuous improvement
- Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, vendor relationships, and technical project priorities
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop software engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Extensive experience in software development, software engineering management, or technical leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, cloud platforms, microservices architecture, APIs, databases, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
- Experience leading enterprise software projects, distributed development teams, and digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Professional certifications in Agile, Scrum, cloud technologies, or software engineering are advantageous
- Excellent leadership, communication, strategic planning, analytical, and stakeholder management skills

Pay: £65,000.00-£95,000.00 per year
