Job Title: FLT / Telehandler Yard Operative
Location: Bridgend, CF32 area
Pay Rate: £14.24 per hour
Job Type: Full-time / Temporary to Permanent
We are recruiting for an experienced Recycling Yard Operative to join a busy recycling facility.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
The role will involve operating plant machinery, moving recyclable materials and supporting the general day-to-day running of the yard.
Duties
- Emptying recycling vehicles
- Loading baled and loose recyclable materials
- Operating a baler
- Operating Fork Lift Trucks and JCB Telehandlers
- Completing pre-use and post-use plant checks
- Following all Safe Working Practices and Risk Assessments
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe
- General cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Reporting any defects or safety concerns
Essential Requirements
- Valid Fork Lift Truck licence
- Valid JCB Telehandler licence
- Previous experience operating plant machinery
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Reliable and comfortable working in a busy recycling environment
Both FLT and Telehandler licences are essential for this position.
Full-time, Monday to Friday work with consistent daytime hours.
