Location: Haydock, Merseyside (covering the North West)
Higher End Construction is a growing construction and property services contractor delivering planned maintenance and investment works for local authorities and housing associations across the North West.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join our expanding team.
This role offers long-term job security, excellent support from our management team and the opportunity to become a key part of our growing Gas & Heating division.
About the Role
The successful candidate will primarily carry out domestic boiler replacements and heating installations within occupied social housing and private properties across the North West.
You will work alongside an apprentice, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality installations while helping to develop the next generation of engineers.
As our private boiler installation business continues to grow, you will also have the opportunity to undertake private domestic installations, becoming a key member of our expanding Higher End Energy Services division.
Responsibilities
- Domestic boiler replacements
- Central heating installations and upgrades
- Heating system alterations
- Commissioning and testing installations
- Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe regulations
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Completing digital job records and certification
- Supporting and mentoring an apprentice on site
- Representing the company professionally within customers' homes
Essential Requirements
- Current Gas Safe Registration
- ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT and relevant domestic modules)
- Minimum 3 years' experience installing domestic gas boilers
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent customer service skills
- High standard of workmanship
- Reliable, organised and self-motivated
Desirable
- Experience working on social housing contracts
- Unvented Hot Water qualification
- Experience mentoring apprentices
- Plumbing and heating qualifications
