Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and facilitate a variety of engaging activities, including arts and crafts, games, homework support, and outdoor play
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing rules and safety procedures consistently
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress or concerns
- Coordinate transportation arrangements if necessary, including driving children to designated locations
- Support children's social development by encouraging positive interactions and conflict resolution
- Keep detailed records of daily activities, attendance, and any incidents that occur during supervision
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles with children of various ages
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to drive safely and confidently to transport children when required
- Fluency in English; dual language a valuable bonus for bilingual environments
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm to create an enjoyable learning environment for kids
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and care
