Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support the culinary team
- Ensure all dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools are properly washed, sanitized, and stored
- Support the safe handling and disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with health standards
- Help organize storage areas by rotating stock and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a hygienic working environment
- Support serving staff during busy periods by preparing necessary supplies or clearing tables as needed
Expectations
- Previous experience in a takeaway, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential - training will be provided
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary processes and hospitality standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving throughout shift
