We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our supportive and progressive Pharmacy Team at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.
This 12-month fixed-term maternity cover post offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their leadership, management and educational supervision skills while making a real difference to patient care and workforce development.
Based within the Fylde locality, you will work closely with the Chief Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in leading and supporting our team of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants. You will gain valuable experience in workforce leadership, service development and educational supervision, making this an ideal role for someone looking to broaden their experience and prepare for future career progression.

As part of this varied and rewarding role, you will:
Provide day-to-day leadership and operational support to Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.
Support workforce planning, staff development and team coordination across the locality.
Act as an Educational Supervisor for learners and trainees within the pharmacy service.
Help coordinate learning and development opportunities for our growing number of cross-sector trainee Pharmacy Technicians, working collaboratively with partner organisations.
Contribute to service improvement projects aligned to Pharmacy and Trust objectives.
Participate in medicines reconciliation, audit activities, annual appraisals and quality improvement initiatives.
Support the continued development of safe, effective and patient-centred pharmacy services.
