HGV Driver — Class 2 | Tewkesbury
The rewards:
- £35,000 – £36,500 per annum
- Temporary with opportunity to go permanent
- Full-time, 48 hours per week (averaged)
Hours:
- Night shift on a five-week rolling rota; shifts typically starting between 10:00pm and 3:00am
- Includes some weekends and bank holidays
The role of HGV Driver — Class 2:
- Delivering goods safely and on time to wholesale and retail customers
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues promptly
- Loading and unloading goods, ensuring all items are secure and accurate before travel
- Managing delivery paperwork and using handheld or electronic systems to record deliveries
- Handling customer payments and returned goods when required
- Following all health and safety, food hygiene, and security procedures
- Representing the business professionally with customers
- Providing cover for colleagues during holidays or sickness
The ideal HGV Driver — Class 2:
- Full UK Category CE (Class 2) licence with minimal penalty points
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Comfortable working night shifts, early starts, weekends, and a rotating schedule
- Strong communication skills and a professional, reliable attitude
- Previous experience in delivery driving, distribution, or logistics desirable
