Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Therapeutic Care Worker to join our care team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within a care home environment, providing personalised therapeutic care and supervising care staff. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to care. The Senior Therapeutic Care Worker will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents, and fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere. Ensuring that DDP is embedded within the home and children receive the highest quality care.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of care workers, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide therapeutic support to residents, promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update records regularly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment
- Foster effective communication with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support residents in engaging with community activities and social events
- Drive organisational initiatives to improve service quality and resident satisfaction
- Contribute to staff training programmes and supervise junior team members
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care or supervisory roles within a care home setting working with children and young people
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Experience in creating and managing care plans tailored to individual requirements
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with children, families, and colleagues
- Valid driving licence for transportation needs related to the role. Driving licence is required.
- Knowledge of IT systems used for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Familiarity with therapeutic approaches relevant to senior or specialised care environments, for Attuned care this is DDP and PACE
- Prior experience in supervising staff within a senior or healthcare setting is highly desirable. Level 4 qualification is required.

The candidate MUST have a clean DBS and driving licence
Must be able to work shift pattern 2 on and 4 off
Must have the right to work in the UK
On target earning, basic salary and a sleep in allowance to be discussed at interview stage depending on experience.
Pay: £33,660.00-£40,680.00 per year
