We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician or Dispenser to join our busy community pharmacy. This is not a trainee or entry-level role. We need someone who can hit the ground running and become a key member of our team. We can pay up to £18 per hour depending on the candidate and the experience level.
We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the business, take on increasing responsibility, complete further training and courses, and eventually help manage the dispensary.
Essential Requirements (Must Have)
Applications will only be considered if you have experience with ALL of the following:
- Extensive experience using ProScript Connect (PMR system) - this is ESSENTIAL.
- Experience with Repeat Medication Services (RMS) - ESSENTIAL.
- Experience managing dosette/blister pack patients - ESSENTIAL.
- Ability to accurately read, interpret and process PMRs with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience ordering medication for the dispensary.
- Experience using Drug Comparison and ordering from regular pharmaceutical wholesalers.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when liaising with GP surgeries, patients and other healthcare professionals.
The more experience you have with ProScript, RMS and dosette management, the stronger your application will be.

About the Role
This is a busy and varied role within a professional community pharmacy where accuracy, organisation and efficiency are essential.
You will be responsible for:
- Accurately dispensing prescriptions in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Managing Repeat Medication Service (RMS) requests and maintaining patient records.
- Preparing and managing dosette/blister packs accurately and efficiently.
- Reading and maintaining PMRs to a high standard of accuracy.
- Ordering medicines using Drug Comparison and our regular pharmaceutical suppliers.
- Monitoring stock levels and maintaining appropriate inventory.
- Communicating regularly with GP surgeries regarding prescription queries, missing items and medication issues.
- Providing excellent customer service and advice to patients where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate dispensing records.
- Ensuring the dispensary remains organised, efficient and compliant with all pharmacy regulations.
- Supporting the pharmacist and wider team with the day-to-day running of the dispensary.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician/Dispenser is essential.
- Relevant pharmacy dispensing qualification preferred.
- Accredited Checking Technician/Dispenser qualification would be an advantage (but not essential).
