Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and manage inventory effectively.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes, making adjustments as necessary.
- Assist with training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a carehome setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
