Job Summary
Hyderabadi Bawarchi Indian Restaurant is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Events Manager and Organiser to plan, coordinate and deliver a wide range of private, corporate and cultural events that enhance the restaurant's reputation and customer experience. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, promotion and execution of events while ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and coordinate private dining events, weddings, birthdays, corporate functions, festivals and community celebrations.
- Meet with clients to understand their event requirements, budgets and preferences, and prepare customised event proposals.
- Coordinate event schedules, seating plans, catering arrangements, decorations, entertainment and audiovisual requirements.
- Liaise with chefs, restaurant management, suppliers, decorators, photographers, entertainers and external vendors to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Manage event budgets, negotiate supplier contracts and monitor expenditure to maximise profitability.
- Supervise event staff before, during and after each event to ensure high standards of customer service.
- Promote restaurant events through social media, local marketing campaigns and partnerships with businesses and community organisations.
- Develop seasonal promotional events and themed food festivals to increase customer engagement and revenue.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, food hygiene standards and licensing requirements.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally during events.
- Prepare post-event reports, customer feedback summaries and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, invoices and event schedules.
- Work closely with senior management to achieve business growth and event revenue targets.
Person Specification: Essential Requirements
- Experience in event management, hospitality or restaurant operations.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Good budgeting and financial management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event booking systems.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Desirable
- Experience organising cultural, corporate and hospitality events.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine and cultural celebrations.
- Marketing and social media promotional experience.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
