We are seeking an experienced Depot Cleaning Manager to oversee and coordinate depot and fleet cleaning operations across our Hove and Ringmer locations. This is a hands-on management role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of vehicle and depot cleanliness, hygiene and safety while leading a dedicated cleaning team.
This is a 39-hour per week, night shift position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and manage the depot cleaning team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management.
- Plan and oversee daily cleaning operations across both depot locations.
- Ensure buses and depot facilities are cleaned to a consistently high standard, including interior sanitation, exterior washing and detailing.
- Monitor cleaning quality and ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards.
- Manage staffing levels and cleaning schedules to meet operational requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for cleaning operations across both sites.
- Assist with budgeting, labour planning and ordering cleaning materials and equipment.
- Produce regular reports on cleaning performance, vehicle standards and team productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a cleaning supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- Experience managing rotas and performance within an operational environment.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and completing reports.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
