Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Manager to oversee our CQC-registered residential care home. In this vital leadership role, you will support the management team in delivering exceptional senior care, ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, and fostering a warm, safe environment for residents. Your experience in assisted living, nursing home operations, and dementia care will drive the delivery of personalized care plans and uphold the highest standards of medication administration and health & safety protocols. Duties
- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring smooth service delivery and regulatory compliance
- Support the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Supervise and mentor care staff, fostering a positive team environment with strong leadership and supervising experience
- Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and safely in accordance with legal requirements and best practices
- Monitor and maintain high standards of assisted living, nursing, senior care, and home care services provided within the facility
- Conduct regular audits of care practices, health & safety procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with CQC standards
- Lead investigations into incidents or complaints, implementing corrective actions promptly to improve service quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a strong understanding of dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Demonstrable management skills with previous supervising or leadership roles within a care home setting
- Knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in residential elderly care
- Strong background in nursing or senior care with relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent)
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Excellent communication skills to lead teams effectively and engage with residents’ families
- Ability to handle medication administration responsibly and accurately while maintaining confidentiality

Pay: £35,420.00-£49,371.94 per year
