If that sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our GMG Finance team and support a critical period of transition. This role is a maternity cover for 1-year.
This role is based in our UK Corporate Office in Folkestone, Kent and allows for home working up to 3 days per week.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll take ownership of key close, reporting and control processes across a complex, multi‑entity international environment.
Working closely with Finance, IT and cross‑functional teams, you’ll ensure continuity, accuracy and efficiency—playing a vital role in maintaining high standards during a period of change.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead monthly and quarterly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.

Support SAP processes, including allocations, reporting and issue resolution.

Assist with VAT, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.

Maintain strong financial controls and ensure audit readiness.

Partner with IT on system improvements, testing and process optimisation.

Collaborate with regional finance teams and manage cross‑functional deliverables.
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; ACCA preferred.

5+ years’ experience in accounting within a corporate or multinational environment.

Strong SAP experience (FI/CO; COPA desirable).

Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar tools advantageous.

Experience working in multi‑entity or international environments.
You’ll be a proactive, detail‑focused finance professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Comfortable working independently, you bring excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across teams. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and are driven to improve processes, ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance and efficiency.
This role works Monday – Friday, 37-hours per week.
