We are currently seeking enthusiastic and driven Bar Staff and Floor Staff to join our team at The New Inns Hotel (The Okeover Arms Group), a newly developing hospitality venue in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Situated in the picturesque Peak District, we are focused on delivering warm hospitality, a welcoming atmosphere, and an exceptional dining and guest experience for both locals and visitors.

Job Summary:
We are looking for individuals with a passion for hospitality, combined with the drive to help grow our brand. The role will involve serving guests and helping promote events, special offers, and seasonal menus to attract new customers and retain regular ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Take food and drink orders, serve beverages, and manage table service efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming bar and dining area.
- Engage with guests to upsell menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional content (social media, flyers, etc.).
- Help plan and execute marketing campaigns, including events and themed nights.
- Assist with event preparation, customer communications, and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
- Handle cash and card transactions securely and accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests have a memorable experience.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the management team to identify sales opportunities and help drive the growth of the business.
- Promote the venue through local outreach, social media, email marketing, and guest engagement.
- Build strong relationships with guests from the very first enquiry through to the end of their visit, ensuring every part of the customer journey is professional, welcoming, and memorable.
- Engage confidently with guests to understand their needs, recommend suitable experiences, and create personalised touches that encourage repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
- Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and customer interactions, working proactively to continually improve guest satisfaction and overall service standards.
- Help create a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the values and vision of The New Inns Hotel (The Okeover Arms Group).
- Support guest retention by encouraging return visits, promoting upcoming events, and building loyalty with both local and staying guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality (restaurant, pub, café) is preferred but not essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Experience in sales, marketing, or promotions is a plus.
- Proficiency in food service and food safety practices.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing strategies.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Must be able to drive as there is no live-in accommodation available.
