Evening Senior Restaurant Assistant
Open 7 days a week from 9am, we serve breakfast, lunch, light bites, cakes and coffees as well as serving an evening menu Thursday to Sunday.
We are looking for a candidate who will be passionate about their role, lead the team, and be warm and welcoming to our customers.
In this key position you will work closely with the senior team to ensure the smooth operation of the business on a daily basis.
As part of your role, we are looking for you to:
- Lead by example - lead the team and run the shift - getting stuck in, setting the pace and not being afraid of hard work.
- Have a passion for hospitality - be passionate about hospitality, the customer journey and great food and drink.
- Have a great eye for detail - from preparing the restaurant for opening to checking evening service set up, attention to all the little details is key.
- Multitask - it's all about balancing plates and trays as well as tasks throughout the shift.
- Be a people person - from customers to colleagues, we are looking for you to get the very best out of everyone.
- Embrace change - from being open to learning our ways to presenting solutions/ideas to drive the business forward.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent knowledge, enthusiasm and understanding of food, beverages, cocktails and wine is essential.
- Bar tending experience preferrable
- Hands on approach
- Very good attention to detail
- Good team work; able to work collaboratively, motivate and lead a team
