Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Installation Operative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing installation projects with precision, ensuring that all equipment and systems are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of tools and machinery, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our clients’ projects. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical aptitude, technical expertise, and a strong work ethic to every task. as a company we work within the highways electrical sector as well as construction our main area of expertise is in street lighting and festive lighting but also cover a large scope of groundworks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of equipment, machinery, and systems according to project specifications and safety guidelines
- Operate machinery such as excavators to prepare sites for installation activities
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, secure, and connect components accurately
- Apply electrical knowledge for wiring, connections, and troubleshooting electrical components
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all phases of installation work
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience with excavator operation or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable but not essential
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Electrical experience or background is advantageous for wiring and troubleshooting tasks
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, or installation instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
