About The Role and You
As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality care and education for children aged 2 to 4 years. You will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment that supports children’s learning and development.
This is a zero hours contract, offering flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, supporting the Nursery team during busy periods, staff absence, or additional operational requirements.
Contract Type: Part Time, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Term Time
Salary: Up to £ 11,300 per annum
Start date: September 2026
This role involves providing support on 1-2-1 basis or small group support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment in their learning in order for them to develop academically, creatively, socially and emotionally. You will also be responsible for preparing and organising additional educational materials and resources and encouraging students to actively participate in the class and engage in activities.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (essential) and support provided on 1-2-1 basis.
- Further qualifications with regard to child protection and/ or SEN.
- An ability to devise and implement a range of strategies to support learning and enjoyment of learning.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- The ability to inspire confidence and become a positive role model.
