We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. Duties
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures and treatments
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilised and ready for use
- Providing support to patients, including explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
- Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment
- Supporting with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Adhering to health and safety protocols, including infection control standards
- Learning and developing skills related to patient care, infection control, and dental procedures through ongoing training
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare
- Good command of English, both written and verbal
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- IT literacy, including familiarity with computer systems for record keeping and administration
- Prior experience in nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work as part of a team with a professional attitude and willingness to learn
