We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Night Butcher to join our team. This crucial role ensures that our fresh products are expertly prepared and ready for our customers each day. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of butchery techniques, a commitment to renewable principles, and the ability to work during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, bone, grind, and prepare various types of organic meats, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to company standards and customer specifications .
Quality Control: Ensure all products meet our stringent quality and organic certification standards. Monitor product freshness and rotation.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain all butchery tools, equipment, and work areas to the highest standards of hygiene and safety .
Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing meat deliveries. Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies.
Adherence to Standards: Uphold all food safety regulations, organic certification requirements, and company policies.
Waste Reduction: Contribute to our sustainability goals by minimizing waste and optimizing carcass utilization.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a butcher, with strong emphasis on carcass breakdown and meat preparation.
HACCP level 3
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality products
Physical stamina to handle heavy cuts of meat and stand for extended periods.
Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
