Overview
We are seeking a skilled individual to head up our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role is ideal for someone who likes flexible working, who has a passion for food service in a sometimes fast paced environment The successful applicant will be responsible for meal preparation, food safety, kitchen management in a fluid ever changing environment. Ideal for someone who is semi-retired or who does not want a full time role.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to club requirements for match days, private functions in a time sensitive manner.
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations & standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, maintaining all equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
- Work with the club manager on stock ordering, menu writing, staff management & training & costings
- Work with the club manager to ensure efficiency & standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant or catering experience essential
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards a constantly changing environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evening & weekends (must be available Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, plus other days as required)
- Able to work alone on quieter days
Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
