In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient organizer behind the scenes ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will provide accurate, efficient and professional administrative support to the Practice Director and Management team, including providing cover and assistance for administrative and finance functions.

Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Practice Manager and practice team.
- Provide cover for administrative and finance duties during periods of absence or increased workload.
- Process and maintain accurate records, correspondence and documentation.
- Assist with invoices, purchase orders, payments and basic finance administration.
- Assist with checking invoices and supporting documentation.
- Undertake data entry, filing, scanning and document management.
- Assist with spreadsheets, reports, audits and general practice administration.
- Support the maintenance of Health & Safety records and documentation.
- Assist with practice policies, procedures and compliance documentation.
- Deal appropriately and professionally with telephone, email and internal enquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with information governance and data protection requirements.
- Use practice computer systems accurately and efficiently.
- Undertake other reasonable administrative duties appropriate to the role.
IT and Systems
Essential:
- Good general IT skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Accurate keyboard and data-entry skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Xero accounting software.
- Previous experience using SystmOne.
General Practice Experience
Previous experience of working in a GP surgery, NHS or primary care environment would be an advantage.
An understanding of general practice processes and the importance of confidentiality, accuracy and patient-focused service would be beneficial.
