Job Overview
We are seeking a professional PCV (Public Carriage Vehicle) Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves delivering passengers reliably while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, ensuring timely and comfortable transportation for clients.
Duties
- Safely operate PCV vehicles, including buses and coaches, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Deliver passengers to designated locations punctually while adhering to scheduled routes.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, colleagues, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting when necessary, providing excellent customer service.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the maintenance team for resolution.
Requirements
- Valid PCV (Public Carriage Vehicle) licence with relevant driving experience.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably within passenger transport.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- MIDAS Certificate required.
- Good mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written ability to complete required paperwork, to the required standard on a daily basis.
- Demonstrable driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow routes accurately and efficiently.

Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
