Rype Office is an award-winning office furniture remanufacturer and fit-out company based in High Wycombe. We are seeking a full-time Operative to join our talented team bringing used furniture back to as-new condition.
Location:
The role will be based at our plant in High Wycombe, but also time in and out of normal working hours on client sites delivering projects.

Your responsibilities are outlined below. In addition to your main duties, you may be required to carry out other tasks as nominated and required by the Company.
We are looking for an energetic, hands-on person with good attention to detail.
Details:
Working as an operative, your key responsibilities will include remanufacturing office furniture and general workshop duties. This includes:
Production / Remanufacturing:
- Cleaning and remanufacturing furnishings
- Disassembly and reassembly of office chairs, desks, and pedestals
- Learning all aspects of the workshop duties from spray painting to upholstery. And performing these duties once deemed competent by your Supervisor
- Keeping the workshop facility as a clean and safe place to work.
Order Fulfilment:
- Picking and preparing orders and parts for dispatch
- Protecting and packing finished products
- Accurately labelling and preparing items for dispatch
- Loading items onto delivery vehicles
- Receiving and Storing:
- Unloading stock from delivery vehicles
- Processing in-bound stock, sorting items and material
- Packing and storing stock in delegated areas on warehouse
Client site:
- Attend client sites to do installations, refurbishment and clearances
The role can be labour intensive, particularly when loading and unloading trucks/vans. Although our processes use lifting aids including an electric pedestrian pallet stacker, you will need to be comfortable lifting up to 20 kg repeatedly. To be chosen for this role, you will be reliable and hardworking, with a flexible can-do attitude. And share our interest in recycling and reducing waste.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Willing and able to learn to use specialised tools, equipment and techniques in line with our remanufacturing techniques
- You will be reliable and hardworking, with a flexible can-do attitude.
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Clean UK driving licence
- Willing to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and overnight stays.
- Comfortable with hands-on physical work, including installing furniture and loading vans
Desired skills:
- Experience and, ideally, trained in, a related trade (e.g. carpentry, fitting, engineering, spray painting, woodwork)
