As a Safeguarding and Welfare Advisor based at our Downham Market centre, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where learners can thrive. Our Downham Market centre is designed specifically for young people who may find it challenging to attend a larger campus, offering small class sizes, personalised support and a nurturing learning environment that helps build confidence, develop skills and achieve their potential. Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Officer, you will provide safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing support to learners, helping them overcome personal and educational barriers. You will manage safeguarding concerns, work closely with the curriculum team and external agencies, develop tailored support, and ensure learners receive the right interventions at the right time.
We are looking for someone with experience in a safeguarding, welfare or pastoral support role. You will have a good understanding of the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing issues affecting young people including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and confidence in working collaboratively with external agencies and professionals.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team, as well as access to excellent CPD opportunities to keep your knowledge and skills current.
